وذكر تقرير لصحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” يوم الاثنين أن فري فارق الحياة في “الخامس من الشهر الجاري” عن 86 عاما.
ويرجع الفضل لهذا الرجل العبقري في تصميم هذه السيارة الأسطورة في عام 1964 وتمكنت شركة فورد منبيع 400 ألف نموذج منها ، رغم أن أكبر آمالها كان بيع 90 ألف نسخة فقط.
وتمكن فري من تصميم السيارة في 18 شهرا فقط، نظرا لاستخدامه قطع غيار ومكونات من سيارات أخرى.
